What was once a vision to re-create or create a new experience that captivated us all many years ago has sadly ended. Continue reading for an announcement from the current curator, Braditanium, made in the Discord Announcement channel on June 9th, 2025.

"I wanted to take a moment to speak directly to all of you, players old and new, longtime supporters, and anyone who’s ever called Vox home like I have, for me it may have been some many years ago.As many of you know, I took over Vox Populi a couple of years ago from Amy, who did a fantastic job leading the server after the original creator, Zombiemold, tragically passed away. His passing was a difficult moment for the community, and Amy carried Vox forward with care and dedication. When I stepped in, I hoped to continue that legacy and rebuild something meaningful.Like so many of you, I really wanted to bring back the magic of Vox, the strong community, the immersive world, the dungeons, jobs, skills, and all the features that made it stand out… even fishing. Unfortunately, between work, life, and everything else, I found myself without the time or energy to truly recreate what made Vox so special.At this time we will not be pursuing or creating Vox in any of its former or new renditions.I’ll be updating Paradise to the latest version of Minecraft before the end of June. I’ll post an update here when I get it done, but it won’t be a [at]everyone so you’ll have to try and login to see or check back here later.That said, this isn’t goodbye for the community. The Vox Populi Discord will remain up as a place to reconnect, hang out, share memories, and stay in touch with old friends.Our staff team, past and present, has done an amazing job over the years, and for that I think we all commend them on a job well done. While I would love to say their job is over, we still need to continue to moderate this discord. I’m instituting a zero tolerance policy on drama, heated arguments or general messages in chat or any conversation the staff deem as drama can get all of the involved parties instantly banned without hesitation.Furthermore, JBirby will be helping restructure some channels to better reflect where things are now. One of the updates includes a new channel called mc-servers, where other Minecraft servers that we think carry the spirit of Vox, or are community recommended will be posted by staff or by the community. As far as I know anyone can post in that section, please pay attention to the rules for that section as well. Birb is still finalizing the templates, the rules, and format; it should be visible and ready to receive new posts on Wednesday.
